Visit Connecticut’s Historic Gardens. 5 right here in Mystic Country.

The State of Connecticut has fourteen registered Historic Gardens. Five of them are right here in Mystic Country and are open to the public. Included are the beautiful gardens at:

Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme

Harkness Memorial State Park, Waterford

New London County Historical Society and Shaw Mansion, New London

Roseland Cottage, Woodstock

Thankful Arnold House Museum, Haddam

Click on the links above to learn a little a little about each spot. Visit CTHistoricGardens.org for info on the others in the state. Pick up a ”passport brochure” at any of the fourteen sites and make your own garden trail. If you visit 3 of the 14 historic gardens  (have your passport initialed by the docent) you will receive a special garden prize!
