The street is your museum. The Mystic Outdoor Art Festival, this weekend.
Every summer, Mystic lines its downtown with creativity for the juried Mystic Outdoor Art Festival. This Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 10-11, 2012), over 250 artists will display their work, from watercolors to photography to oils and more for people to peruse while they stroll the streets. And stroll them they do – the festival is a favorite among locals and out-of-towners alike. The offerings will satisfy every taste, and the artists are thrilled to discuss their work with visitors.
You could literally spend hours here browsing the tents and learning about different techniques and new artists. There’s much to see and do, including crafts, children’s art activities and food galore.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, and admission is free.
