Party in the streets. Willimantic Third Thursday Street Fest, June 21.

Culture at it’s best – that’s what you’ll find at our Third Thursday Street Fests in Willimantic. It’s a constant party every third Thursday from 6-9 p.m. now through September* – the streets are filled to the brim with food, music, people, performers…the list goes on.

Local artists promote their wares, children have more activities to enjoy than they can count, shopkeepers open their doors and seven stages set up along the streets have all kinds of entertainment going on. This downtown may not be large in mileage, but it’s one of the most culturally expansive of our area. We have food to please everyone’s tastes, as well as local beer and other beverages. The weather always seems to cooperate too, so taking everything in should be a pleasure. And it’s free admission, so that’s even better!

One of the Quiet Corner’s best kept secrets, Willimantic is known for its frogs; it’s nickname, Thread City; and it’s Victorian homes, which open up to the public every June. This is just another way to see this fun town. Just come ready to party!

*June 21, July 19, August 16 and September 20.
