Hot cars, cool stunts. Annual Main Street Car Cruise in Putnam Sunday, August 12.
Burnouts. Motorcycle stunts. Hot rods. No, it’s not a new action movie–it’s the Annual Main Street Car Cruise in Putnam, this Sunday, August 12, 2012. Car fanatics will find everything their heart desires in the custom and classic cars, custom motorcycles, holeshot drag racing, burnouts and more.
Motorcycle stuntman Luke Emmons will be on site as well, showing off his hair-raising moves.
Food, music and vendors will complete the day. Admission is free. The festivities run from 10:30 to 5, and registration begins at 8 a.m. Rain date is August 19, so check back on the website for details if you’re worried about the weather.
And for those family members who aren’t as fascinated by donuts and wheelies, Putnam and the surrounding towns in the Quiet Corner are ideal for shopping, sightseeing, good food, and country drives. You can drop the rest of the family off for the car show and hit some galleries, do lunch, walk the river path or check out some antiques. Whatever you decide to do, you’ll love the Quiet Corner’s offerings.
