Crazy for Vintage Fashion? Check out Peacock Feathers in Mystic.

I was waiting for my daughter to finish up a music lesson one Saturday morning when I wandered into Peacock Feathers in Mystic. As a lover of fashion and all things vintage I was blown away by the selection, quality and depth of designer in this chock full two story shop.
Prada, Ferragamo, Diane von Furstenberg, Lilly Pulitzer, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Coach, Valentino, Ralph Lauren…should I go on? Vintage cowboy boots, scarves, dresses, pants, shirts, leather jackets, hats, jewelry, handbags, shoes…man it is a treasure trove if you are into this kind of thing.
Betty Latham, the shop’s owner, has been collecting vintage style for over twenty years. Her eye is very good. Put this shop in Manhattan and it would be mobbed.
There are sections for men and women, shoes, jewelry, handbags, belts, home and more. Everything is organized by color or category and the displays are really fun and eye catching.
I walked out with a pair of gorgeous looking Ferragamos and a silk chiffon Maggy London blouse. If the lizard boots had fit, they would have been in my bag too.

I am looking for a pair of 1940′s ladies shoes, black oxford type lace up with boxed heal maybe 1 1/2 high….size 6.
