Welcome 2012 in style. New Year’s in Mystic Country.
Got big plans yet? We have plenty to choose from, so if you haven’t found something yet, look no further.
Start out your evening dining in style. New Year’s Eve dinners are happening at all the cool places–music, too, and menus to start 2012 off right. Cocktails and champagne toasts are staples, of course, and if you’re still hungry after all your revelry, look for a tasy New Year’s Day brunch. Some of our trendiest inns and hotels are offering great “stay” packages, too. Check out the complete listing.
If you’re looking for something for the kids early evening, check out Frostival in Danielson. This New Year’s Eve bash has hayrides, magic shows, fireworks, food, and even bobsled-style sled racing. Live music, bonfire and fireworks top off the evening, and the festivities end by 8 pm–so Mom and Dad still have time to get out and have their own party once the babysitter arrives!
For the wee ones: If you have little’uns, check out the Countdown to Noon at the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut, also on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Games, traditions and songs to get the kids in the spirit without resulting in a cranky New Year’s Day.
